A number of new economic stimulus measures in a mayoral minute were adopted in June, adding to a long list of other measures revealed in April and May.
One of the key parts of the latest mayoral minute is a $50,000 structured business attraction program, which will "bring in new businesses, investment, ventures and franchises" to Bathurst.
To maximise the success of this program, council will work with an agency that specialises in attracting businesses to a city or region.
In recent months, councillors have spoken about trying to bring more manufacturing businesses to Bathurst and Cr Monica Morse said the $50,000 in funding showed "we have actually put our money where our mouth is".
She also highlighted the Industry Cluster Strategy council started work on prior to the pandemic, which will identify how businesses can work more collaboratively.
COVID-19 saw the project put on hold, but it is due to recommence in this financial year.
There is also an additional $10,000 for the Upstairs start-up hub to encourage the emergence of new businesses and the creation of jobs.
"We are not only talking about it, we are doing it," Cr Morse said of attracting new business.
The mayoral minute also included a further $10,000 for the Buy Local Gift Card program, which will be used in various gift card competitions to encourage spending in local shops.
The 10-week gift card competition council has been running has attracted more than 3,200 entries so far. The only way to enter the competition is by shopping at a participating store.
Council has seen a small increase in the number of local shops wanting to participate in the program, with the number of participating stores jumping from 129 to 138 between February and the publication of the mayoral minute.
Cr Jess Jennings said the gift cards are "an excellent tool for helping to stimulate the economy".
