According to the Bureau of Meteorology's MetEye, the best chance of snow for areas like Jenolan Caves and Yetholme is at 4am in the early hours of Saturday morning.
And it's unlikely that the temperature will rise too high during the day, with a high of eight degrees forecast for Bathurst on Saturday, with the mercury expected to drop down to just one degree.
Oberon will be even colder, with a high of just six degrees for the small town to the south of Bathurst.
A string of below freezing minimums are to follow for Bathurst, with a low of -1 forecast from Monday through to Wednesday.
