THE Bathurst Winter Festival is again providing an opportunity for residents to support their local artisans and small businesses.

Instead of the typical outdoor market in Kings Parade, the festival will offer an online market to give a platform to small local businesses.
The markets will run from Friday through to July 19, with around 40 stallholders to be part of the event.
"The Bathurst Winter Festival website will list the market stalls in one easy location," mayor Bobby Bourke said.
"Participants can see a list of market stalls and simply click though to their website where they can view products and make a purchase in the comfort of their own home."
Among the stallholders is Oriana Zanon, the woman behind Grapes of Wreath.
Ms Zanon reuses old wine and champagne corks to make a range of products, including Christmas wreaths, Christmas tree decorations, cork art boards and other wall hangings.
"People around the world are becoming more aware of the issues with single use products and their environmental impact," she said.
"The increasingly hard to find wine corks - thanks screw tops - that are usually thrown away, can be transformed into amazing art designs and gifts.
"I do buy used corks from a supplier in Germany, but I am also very lucky to have so many friends who now collect corks and donate them to Grapes of Wreath, for which I am very grateful."
While she has attended markets in Leura and Millthorpe, and exhibited at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, this is the first time Ms Zanon has been part of the winter festival and she looks forward to the experience.
"The online winter festival gives me the opportunity to meet people looking for that unique handcrafted gift," she said.
