Launched on July 2 at 8pm, the poll is currently asking readers 'Which Bathurst cafe, restaurant or outlet has the best coffee?'
As of 3pm on Tuesday afternoon, the Advocate had received 1244 votes, with Brilliant Street Cafe receiving a total of 216 or 17.36 per cent of all total votes.
That puts the cafe in a dominant position, 80 votes ahead of second-place, Crema on George, which has received 135 votes.
The Grind is in third place with 129 votes, while Moubar Vintage and Doppio are in fourth and fifth respectively with a total of 111 and 89 votes.
Brilliant Street Cafe manager Scott Riley said it's pleasing to see his customers showing their support for the coffee outlet.
"We have some very good regulars," he said.
"It's amazing and it's always good to get some feedback on how we're going.
"It's good to see that our regulars are good, loyal regulars."
When asked why Brilliant Street Cafe has the best coffee in all of Bathurst, Mr Riley said it comes down to the consistency.
"This place was set up about two years ago by Ben Berger and he's been in the business for a decade," he said.
"We were all taught by him how to consistently make good coffee."
Brilliant Street Cafe is a popular destination for workers on the go, as the location allows customers to quickly park their car, order a coffee and hit the road again in no time.
And prior to the coronavirus pandemic, it did have room for dine-in customers.
But even with the easing of restrictions, it's logistically difficult for the cafe to reintroduce dine-in, so its opted not to for the time being.
Brilliant Street Cafe is open from 5.30am to 3pm during weekdays, 6am to 1pm on Saturday and 6.30am to 1pm on Sunday.
