Her creation was one of many recently announced winners of the Bathurst Regional Council's Waste 2 Art competition, an initivation that showcases creative works made from reused and waste materials.
It took Ms Attree under half an hour to create Percy the Robot (minus the several hours it took for the glue to set).
"I made him by stacking bottle caps. I used a metal bracket for a head, rusty nails for antennas and can tabs for arms," she said.
"I used a head of a spoon for a stomach and squashed bottle tops for feet. I used a bent nail for a smile."
Ms Attree, a 11-year-old year six student at Bathurst Public School, entered five designs for the competition, with Percy the Robot ultimately winning the Primary 3 Dimensional category.
Mayor Bobby Bourke said the exhibition is an innovative way to approach education about waste.
"We have received over 50 artworks which showcase the artistic abilities of people in the region that include some element of recycled waste," he said.
"I would like to congratulate the winners and thank everyone who took the time to create an artwork and enter the competition."
All entries can be viewed online at the Bathurst Regional Council YouTube channel.
