This is a wonderful project.
I would suggest that it would be further strengthened if primary school children were to be closely involved.
The future of our wildlife depends on the next generation really getting to know and care about our native animals and our native vegetation.
IN OTHER NEWS:
With our high intake of newer Australians born overseas, parents are not always able to pass on to them the early knowledge and love which was part of the childhood of older Australians.
Also, so often they have come from places of such extreme hardship that their focus has to be on day-to-day living rather than the future of the environment in their new country.
If we are able to draw their children into having knowledge and care of their new environment this should lead to a better future for both.
