That is the question posed by Brad Fittler, who touched down in the Central West on Monday alongside fellow former Blues Steve Menzies and Craig Wing.

The New South Wales Blues' coach visited Orange to take part in a training session in which oversaw Cam Greenhalgh's Rams outfit.

The 48-year-old legend made some meaningful observations of a Rams side that's set to enter the looming Presidents Cup competition, a tournament made up of teams from the Central West, Hunter and Sydney.

Fittler's takeaway from Rams training?

Size will matter.

The Rams boast the likes of Orange Hawks' pair Tom Romer and Ethan McKellar while Lithgow big man Cody Godden and young Blayney Bear Liam Henry are also amongst the squad, but Fittler's of the opinion they might struggle when they touch down in the city.

"They might struggle size-wise," Fittler said.

"The competition's pretty thick and a lot of them are just coming in and out of first grade so they're full-time trained so size could be an issue.

"I'll tell you what ... they looked fit when they were running, they were keeping their pace - it was impressive."

Cam Greenhalgh will reveal how much size he'll have in his 18-man squad as the mentor is set to announce a side at some stage on Tuesday.

The Rams' first game is against the Hills Bulls on Sunday at Forbes, which bodes well for the likes of Magpies' contingent Mitch Burke and Mitch Andrews, who were both at the session on Monday night.

Jackson Brien, who was to play with St Pat's this season, was another decorated player who made an appearance as he slotted into the left centre position for the side's opposed session against the under 18s.
