The Under 18s State of Origin representative is beyond a valuable asset for the Panthers, who begin their campaign with a tough away clash against Orange CYMS this Sunday.
Having one of the state's most talented junior league players in your ranks is a boost that's hard to match, and coach Mick Carter welcomed the addition.
"It's sad that our first grade boys aren't playing but it's great that we get the experience of Noah Griffiths back in the team. He's helped a lot of these younger fellas out and I'm sure he'll steer them in the right direction," he said.
The team received confirmation late last month that Griffiths would be available to come back to the club, providing the club with a player that's hard for any other club to match in quality.
With the Group 10 premier league season cancelled for 2020 it's given captain Doug Hewitt a new pastime - giving extra time at training to helping out the junior squad.
Carter said it's great having insights from the two-time premiership winning coach.
"We've stepped it up at training and they're starting to look really good," he said.
"We had Dougie come down on Thursday and he's keen to help out. He put them through a ball work session, and for what was one of their first few ball sessions they looked really good.
"It's incredible having him help out. He's got such extensive knowledge and knows the game so well and he's a great asset for us to have at the club. That sort of guidance is very welcome."
The trip to Orange isn't the kindest of first round meetings but Carter said it will be interesting to see where the side is 'at.
"It is a tough ask first up. CYMS have been up there for the past few years," he said.
"Their 16s side have also been towards the top of their competition as well. It's sure to be a tough task up there in the warm conditions of Orange," he laughed.
"The build up has been tough though I feel like everyone is going to be in the same boat fitness wise. Being in four 15-minute quarters could play into our hands a little bit.
"I just hope the boys get out there and leave nothing on the paddock and make a good account of themselves."
CYMS and Panthers play at 12.40pm at Norton Park.
The other match in the Eastern Pool for the opening round will be Saturday's clash between Lithgow and Orange Hawks.
St Pat's have the bye.
