This year's eisteddfod - which will mark its 75th anniversary - is set to run from August 22 to September 12.
It'll be held at two venues this year - the Walshall Hall and the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, pending the approval from the latter.
Eisteddfod publicity coordinator Gwyneth Kelly said the event is still seeking both volunteers and sponsors for the 2020 event.
"It's all going to work differently because we're not going to have big crowds but we normally have a door person, ticket sellers, secretary-to-the-adjudicators, a scribe, an office person. That's most of the positions," she said.
"You can volunteer for a morning or a day or an evening.
"The important thing is that volunteers are required to have a Working With Children Check. It has to be in place before they can come and volunteer on the day.
"It doesn't cost anything. You just go to the website and apply."
Ms Kelly said social distancing rules will still have to be observed, with the eisteddfod to operate in line with the federal and state government regulations in place at the time.
Syllabus A entries having already closed, but they will be face-to-face, catering for solo, duo, trio and quartet performances in dance, speech, drama and instrumental, as well as up to five members in speech and drama.
Composition, hot singer hot song and B-Rock bands will also perform.
Syllabus A will run from August 5 to September 12, with entries having already closed on July 8.
There's still time to enter for syllabus B, which will cater for groups, schools, choirs, band and some solo performances in dance, instrumental, speech and drama.
Syllabus B will be online, with video entries to be recorded and submitted from August 1, with entries closing on August 20.
Adjudication will take on place on September 25.
