If Panorama is able to play its best football for the entirety of their fourth round match at Proctor Park, manager Brent Osborne feels it will go a long way seeing his side beat Orana.
It will be a challenge, but it's one Panorama is relishing.
"In the local comp there were a couple of good teams - Lithgow was there with us last year and a couple of others - but you'd only have a good game once a month sort of thing," Osborne said.
"With this there are no easy games, each team is fiercely competitive each week, all the teams are really good and getting better each week. But the boys are responding to that and I think they are enjoying it, getting a competitive game you know you've got to get up for every week is really motivating the boys."
After three games Panorama sits fifth on the ladder. The Goats drew their opening round match 1-all with Dubbo Bulls, fell 4-2 to Barnestoneworth then last Sunday conceded in the final minute for a 1-all draw with Lithgow.
All of those games highlighted the importance for sustained intensity, but they also showed that when Panorama is switched on, they can match and even outplay their rivals.
"I think we were probably the better team in the first round against the Bulls and probably should have taken that game," Osborne said.
"We had a bad 15 minutes to start, let a goal in then dominated the rest of the match. Barnies, we let in three goals in in 20 minutes and you can't win games if you're going that.
"Last week the boys tried hard all game and to let a goal in in the 92nd minute off a corner, that's pretty disappointing. It shows you've got to be switched on for the 90.
"The boys are excited though because we are playing some good football and we are improving every week. Hopefully the first W comes for us this weekend."
Osborne said Panorama still has work to do when it comes to shape in defence and converting more of the chance they have been creating.
Like Panorama, Orana is yet to post a win. The Dubbo outfit drew 1-all with Parkes in round one, had the bye, then fell 1-0 to the Bulls.
"We've never played Orana. Like we've played Macquarie and the Bulls in pre-season cup stuff, but we've never been drawn against Orana, so this will be the first time we play this club and we don't know what to expect at all, so it will be interesting," Osborne said.
Kick-off is 3pm Saturday at Proctor Park.
