Bathurst artist Stephen Hogan's 'Tribal Totems' sculpture has been added to a Mudgee park project featuring artwork from well-respected Australian artists.
Hogan's work was installed last week at Mudgee's Lawson Park as part of the Sculptures in the Garden event, of which he won the $25,000 major acquisition prize last year.
"They were installed in the exact spot I envisioned, on the banks of the Cudgegong River," he said.
"The totems are designed to acknowledge native cultures from all around the world, and I hope people view it as a reminder of the people who were here before us and their significance to our shared history."
Sculptures in the Garden is an annual event billed as one of the largest sculpture exhibitions in rural NSW.
Hogan currently has another exhibition, Imagine, on display in the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery foyer.
The exhibition will be on display until Sunday, September 15.
