Nicole's Fancy Party, the newest production from BMEC's Local Stages, will see performers Nel Kentish, Kate Smith, Hannah Armstrong and Ben Rodwell provide an immersive theatre experience full of frivolous intrigue.
Ms Kentish, who is also the director, said audiences can expect plenty of surprises from the show.
"The dress code is 'fancy,' so we expect everyone to dress up glamourously for the occasion," she said.
"Because we've all been in lockdown for so long, it'll be nice to host some drinks, play some games and learn how to socialise again."
The production will run over four evenings [August 5 to 8], starting at 7pm with audience figures strictly limited to 20 people per performance.
BMEC creative producer and Local Stages coordinator Kylie Shead said it's exciting to welcome live performance back to the venue.
"There's a whole bunch of professional theatre makers in Bathurst who've had to put their livelihoods on hold due to COVID-19, so it'll be great to put something on again for performers, audiences and BMEC's staff," Ms Shead said.
"We're sticking to concise numbers for each show to ensure social distancing can be managed properly, and the production has been specifically designed to allow for adequate spacing."
The production has been supported financially by Reliance Bank as well as longtime theatre supporters Ben and Martha Gelin.
Tickets cost $22 for adults and $16 for concession and are available at www.bmec.com.au.
