Bathurst mayor Bobby Bourke said large inflows were still occurring and while the recent increase in the dam level was welcomed, residents were reminded that extreme level water restrictions are still in place across the region.
"Our community has been very responsive to the implementation of water restrictions and everyone has done a wonderful job so far in preserving our drinking water supply," Cr Bourke said.
"Council has no firm figure on when restrictions can be eased and will need to consider forecast rainfall, expected water usage and the time of the year to determine if and when water restrictions could be eased."
