As of August 10, Bathurst has received 528.1 millimetres of rain, more than the totals of 2017 (458.7mm), 2018 (508mm) and 2019 (462.8mm), but there's still over four months remaining still until the end of the year.
If current rain trends continue, Bathurst could receive its highest total of rain since 2010, when 1087.9 millimetres, thanks partially to some wet months in February, March and December.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Bathurst has only had two years since records began in 1908 with more than 1000mm of rain - in 1950 (1275.2mm) and 2010.
And in even more good news, it's extremely likely more rain could be on its way for Bathurst this week, with possible showers forecast on Wednesday and Thursday before an 80 per cent chance of up to 10 millimetres of rain on Friday and Saturday.
There's also a 70 per cent chance of up to five millimetres of rain on Sunday.
