Holy Family Catholic School continues a busy and student focused school year as we move well into Term 3. 2020 has been a mighty year with lots of challenges for students, staff and parents. Paramount at the school at this time, is keeping everyone safe and healthy, so extra hygiene practices are in place. While some of our events, gatherings & normal activities are presently on hold, the school continues a robust approach to the core work of a school - teaching and learning.

Term 3 sees the further implementation of our peer support program across the K-6 classes. All of our students belong in a 'Care Group' and each group has a Year 6 student leader.

This year our program is titled "Speaking Up" and this is an anti bullying theme. Through the program, we help build positive relationships and a caring school environment.

Across the school, we have been developing personalised learning programs to support students. A special feature at our school currently, involves our teachers working in collaborative groups with the aim of further improving student learning outcomes especially in the core areas of literacy and numeracy, and we encourage students to give 'their personal best'. Students respond well to this and we take every opportunity to encourage & acknowledge student effort.
