VP - or Victory in the Pacific - Day on August 15, 1945 was the official end of World War 2 in the Pacific region.
The Bathurst RSL Sub Branch will host a memorial service at the War Memorial Carillon from 10.30am, with the carillon's bells to ring out at 11am and the All Saints' Cathedral bells to chime 75 times at noon.

The number of people attending will be strictly limited but residents with a direct link to World War 2 are welcome to attend.
David Mills from the sub branch said all the COVID-19 protocols would be in place.
"This includes having a register for those in attendance and practising social distancing," he said.
"We want to mark this important occasion but at the same time are aware of the importance and responsibility of avoiding gatherings which involve too many people."
Bathurst MP Paul Toole said the significance of VP Day had not been lost after 75 years.
"This legacy is as strong across the Bathurst electorate today as it was 75 years ago, when Victory in the Pacific was declared," Mr Toole said.
"We might be in the middle of a different battle against this pandemic but that should not prevent us from recognising those who gave up so much to protect our country and our freedom.
"What we're going through right now is very challenging but we must remember the bravery, courage and sacrifice of Australians who fought for their country."
