That was the assessment of Panorama FC manager Brent Osborne after watching his side play out a 2-all draw against Barnstoneworth United FC at Proctor Park on Thursday night.
In the final half hour of the match when the game was locked, Osborne watched on as Panorama struck the crossbar, struck the post off a spot kick, had a one-on-one attempt saved and several more promising attacking raids end without a goal.
Barnstoneworth did have its chances as well - star striker Lachie McHatton threatened with his pace while Panorama defender Jarred Portegies made a brilliant 74th minute block - but Osborne felt his side played the better football.
"I think it was probably the best 90 minutes we have played," he said.
"It's getting towards the end of the season where games are hard to win, but we should have won that. We were probably the better team.
"We had a bad five minutes where they scored a couple of goals, but we had our chances to win it, particularly with that penalty.
"I think we should have gotten more out of it, we should've killed another game off, but that's the story of the season so far."
With rain falling as the game began, both goalkeepers had some nervous moments in the first half trying to control a slippery ball.
As expected the visitors tried to utilise the pace of McHatton and play him in behind Panorama's defence. While he created some half chances, the hosts scrambled well.
Likewise the pace of Jacob Soetens was used by Panorama create in attack. It was his cross - after chasing down the right wing - which picked out an unmarked Jules Bardon in the box.
Bardon's 19th minute shot curled late to find the mark and give Panorama a 1-0 lead it took to the break.
The second half was only seven minutes old when Barnstoneworth equalised, McHatton's powerful drive clipping a Panorama defender, hitting the left post and deflecting into the goal.
Three minutes later the visitors had the lead when Jackson Fuda cut back a nice shot into the bottom right corner, but from the kick-off Panorama attacked and had the leveller thanks to Jarrah Hale.
Not long after Hale struck the crossbar with an attempt from outside the box, but when a Barnstoneworth handball sent Panorama to the spot in the 64th minute it took as if the hosts would take the lead.
However, Will Fitzpatrick's effort hit the post.
Panorama had another good chance four minutes later when Soetens released Ryan Peacock down the right wing. He worked his way into the box and fired, but his attempt was saved by the feet of the Barnstoneworth goalkeeper.
Though Panorama had to settle for a draw, which prevented it from jumping Barnstoneworth into fourth spot, Osborne was still pleased with the effort.
