Young mainly performs classic rock covers, and said patrons at Nikki's Cafe can expect a range of popular songs to accompany dinner.
"The set will mainly include songs from the 60s and 70s, but there will be selections from the 50s, 80s and 90s as well," he said.
"I play to the crowd, and fans of The Beatles, Dire Straits and Roy Orbison [and associated acts] are in for a treat."
Young also performs in a duo called Vivamus, and has been playing music since the mid-70s.
His other area of expertise [safety in the food industry] has assisted Nikki's Cafe in devising an effective COVID-safe plan.
"It's important to make live music work within public health orders to give the public a vital entertainment outlet," Young said.
Nikki's Cafe commenced its live music program last month, and co-owner Pino Calabro said there's potential for entertainment to further enlighten the venue.
"Not only does it provide a platform for artists to perform, but it also enriches the cafe's atmosphere and visibility," Mr Calabro said.
