If you are turning right towards the hospital and facing another car turning right towards the CBD, you cannot see past them to see whether the other oncoming lanes are clear.
Therefore, you have to wait until the car turning right into the CBD has gone before you can see if the other lanes are clear to allow you to safely proceed.

This means that cars can be held up unnecessarily and there is only room for about three or four cars in the right turning lane towards the hospital.
There is only room for one or two cars to queue in Howick Street and no room to pass them.
It would be very easy to run up the back of cars queueing to go into Taco Bell via Howick Street.
It should also be noted that ambulances frequently use this route to get to the hospital and they are potentially obstructed by cars queueing into Taco Bell.
If you entered Taco Bell via Stewart Street, you would obviously have to ensure that they did not queue on the highway.
Cars coming from the east would have to come via Durham, Peel and Howick streets, then turn into Stewart Street or otherwise do a U-turn at the intersection.
Cars coming out into Howick Street could turn right to head towards the hospital or turn left or right into the highway.
Right turns across four lanes of traffic may face lengthy delays, waiting for traffic to clear.
Taco Bell's preference for entrance from Stewart Street and exit from Howick Street would seem to be safer.
Either way, there would be a lot of congestion on this intersection and it would become much more dangerous.
It is safe enough with the low level of traffic with the car rental service, but it cannot take high volumes of traffic.
Perhaps Taco Bell should consider alternative locations, such as the old Harvey Norman site on the corner of Ashwood Drive and the highway or the new Gateway site.
There are numerous empty places around town which should provide a safer alternative.
