It took just 73 seconds for CSU to open its account at account at University Oval and by quarter-time the hosts led 19-0 as they delivered on the request of coach Daniel Adamson for a better start.
From there CSU went on with the job as the forwards made good yards up the middle of the ruck and when the back line was released, they used their speed to exploit the space on the fringes.
Parkes was not lacking on effort and they did pressure CSU with some tactical kicking, but the students stuck to their structures and were simply too fast and too strong.
Given it was their first game in three weeks, it was especially impressive.
"We knew it was going to be a tough game for sure, these girls gave us a run for the money in the first round," CSU skipper Jorja Verway said.
"But we just went out there and stuck to our structure, we really practised our structures at training this week, so that was great to see.
"Our pod work with our forwards is also something we have really been working on and I think this week it shone through. We set the backs up really well and our defence was good too."

It was solid work from the forwards - namely Molly Kennedy - that helped CSU get off to a strong start. She hit the line hard, attracted multiple defenders, made good yards and created space for her backs.
It was space the speedy back line relished as CSU scored three tries in the first six minutes - two via fullback Maddy Reilly - to lead 19-0.
Just as their speed was important, so too was the work CSU's backs did at the break down. Minna Annand pilfered a number of times early in the second quarter as Parkes pressured inside their 22.
Annand then backed up after five-eighth Step Doyle made a break down the blindside off a scrum to score and lock in a bonus point for the students.
Another attacking play off a scrum led to Liv Jackson's second try of the contest soon after, her 40 metre run to the line including a nice fend along the way.
It was all about the forwards just prior to half-time when Gabby Downing surged through the middle of Parkes' defensive line and found Meg Sprague in support, their efforts seeing the score tick over to 40-0.
The first six minutes after the long break saw Annand score twice, again finding spaces on the edge from deep inside her own half to make it at hat-trick for the match. It saw CSU hit the 50-point mark.
The win was iced with four minutes remaining with try number eight and fittingly it came from Kennedy. She crossed under the sticks to give Reilly an easy conversion.
