Police were called to the fracas just before midday after receiving a call about a confrontation between a group of people.
The court had adjourned for the morning tea break when the incident occurred.
Courthouse sheriffs had already separated a number of people involved in the incident when police arrived.

Chifley Police District crime manager, Chief Inspector Luke Rankin, said police spoke to a number of people at the scene and also moved on a number of people from the area.
He said police would review CCTV footage as part of their ongoing investigation into the matter.
No charges have yet been laid but Inspector Rankin said investigations were ongoing with police reviewing CCTV footage to see what, if any, offences occurred.
