While petrol prices in Sydney are starting to drop, the average for unleaded was still 130 cents per litre for the week ending September 6.
In Bathurst, the average price for unleaded was 116.9 cents per litre, down slightly from the previous week.
The figure also makes Bathurst the third-cheapest area in the Central West that's monitored by the NRMA, only being beaten out by Orange and Dubbo.
The NRMA considers prices in the bush to be stable, but expects prices to keep falling for metropolitan areas.
"Over the past week, the average Mogas price fell 1.6 cents per litre with the Australian dollar falling 0.3 cents to 72.7 cents against the US dollar," The NRMA said in its latest fuel report.
"Average regular unleaded prices have fallen 6.9 cents per litre last week and are now expected to fall to 107 cents per litre over the next three to four weeks.
Although Bathurst's average price for unleaded is around seven cents dearer than what's being seen in Orange (110 cents per litre), motorists are still able to access similar prices.
The NRMA has previously pointed out price discrepancies between Bathurst retailers, noting that some retailers' high prices drive up the city's average.
That was certainly the case on Thursday.
Five retailers were charging 110.9 cents per litre for unleaded, while others charged between 114 and 150 cents per litre.
As of September 6, the NRMA was reporting Bathurst as having the fifth best average price for diesel in the state at 118.5 cents per litre.
However, motorists who shop around can get this fuel variety for as low as 112.5 cents per litre, as was on offer at Pearl Energy on Thursday.
The best price for e10 was 108.9 cents per litre, which could be found at six retailers, including Pearl Energy, the South Bathurst Metro, the United, the Kelso 7-Eleven, Caltex Kelso and the BP Kelso.
