THE Green Dry Clean's inaugural coat drive for the homeless has exceeded all expectations, with 258 coats being donated, cleaned and passed on to those living rough in the city.

The coat drive came to an end last week, with organisers Fiona Miller, Pamela Dark and Nikita Williams, from the Green Dry Clean absolutely delighted with the support it received.
"It well exceeded our expectations," they said
The last of the coats were taken to Wattle Tree House last week. Wattle Tree House will distribute them to the city's homeless.
"Wattle Tree House is an outstanding Bathurst community service and we are proud to be associated with them," they said.

The trio said the concept of a coat drive was one that was tossed around during one of their many discussions prior to purchasing The Green Dry Clean.
When they launched the coat drive, they said they didn't know what to expect, but said if they could offer the city's homeless a winter coat and make the cold nights a little warmer then they would be happy.
Given the success of this year's coat drive, they said they will definitely being doing it again next year, but will also be asking for blankets which they can clean and then pass on to be distributed to those living rough.
