A BROKEN leg for Bathurst Bushrangers star Pagan Harrison-Brown has put a dampener on the celebrations for her side after their 10-4-64 to 2-3-15 AFL Central West women's victory away to the Cowra Blues.

Harrison-Brown has been one of the Bushrangers' leading players this season - and was enjoying another excellent performance in Saturday's clash - before disaster struck.
Outside of the injury it was a strong game for the Bushrangers to take into the upcoming preliminary final at home against the Dubbo Demons.
Bushrangers coach Brian Matheson said his side did an excellent job to continue playing strongly after Harrison-Brown left the game in the first quarter.
"It was a really tough game. It was actually the first time we'd play them this year. It was very physical and closer than what the scoreline says," he said.
"Unfortunately one of our key players, Pagan, broke her leg in the early stages of the game. She's been outstanding for us this year, and that put a dampener on the game, but our girls were able to switch back on.

"They ended up playing good team football and it was probably one of our best games of the year - an ideal game to be taking into finals."
Matheson said a similar sort of performance next weekend will really test out the Demons at George Park.
"The girls are really looking forward to a tough game against Dubbo. They're a skilful and physical side," he said.
"We've beaten them both times we've gone over to play them in Dubbo but they've both been reasonably close games. We know they'll bring everything they can to try and reach the grand final."
Alora Dickinson and Tori Whitla both kicked three goals in the Bushrangers' win.
