BATHURST'S public toilets have recently been adorned with posters about simple hygiene.
"Apply soap," they say. "Lather and scrub," they say. "Dry hands," they say. But where is the soap? Where are the towels? Where are the hand dryers?

Now that he has made it rain for us through the publication of several photos of him propping up the Chifley Dam wall, perhaps mayor Bobby Bourke could find time to throw a few dollars of our federal grant at public health instead of offending the original owners of Wahluu by squandering taxpayers' funds on an unneeded go-kart track.
Certainly, Mr Bourke needs to spend a bit on public toilet hygiene before he further encourages visitors to spread COVID-19 at the forthcoming car races.
