Bathurst Bullet 2.0 is celebrating one year of service as a second daily return train connection Bathurst and the wider Central West to Greater Sydney.

The second service launched on September 16 last year to supplement the success of the first Bathurst Bullet, which has been in operation since 2012.
Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said the additional daily service has been a great boost for regional communities to travel to and from the city.
"The Bathurst Bullet 2.0 means more travel choices and flexibility for communities right across the Central West," Mr Toole said.
"It provides locals with the option of a later start in the morning and an earlier return in the evening."
"Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and last summer's bushfires, we noticed an increase of up to 70 per cent more customers catching Bullet services."
Mr Toole said the launch of the second bullet also saw the introduction of stops at Rydal and Tarana, as well as bus connections to Orange.
"These changes have provided more opportunities for our customers living in regional areas to use public transport including for specialist medical appointments in Sydney," Mr Toole said.
"In May, we also introduced a new bus service connecting Oberon residents to the second bullet at Tarana."
"This service is an example of just one of the ways we are constantly looking for the best ways to serve and connect our regional communities."
"While the last year has presented many challenges with bushfires, landslides and COVID-19, we are committed to providing improved and more integrated connections as well as promoting growth in regional NSW."
The service leaves Bathurst at 7.35am on weekdays and sets off from Central for the return leg at 3.05pm, arriving in Bathurst at 6.47pm.
On weekends, it departs Bathurst at 6.07am and returns at 6.52pm.
