Sprung Festival is a two-week festival of arts and creativity facilitated and constructed by third year Theatre Media students.
Shows are normally held on the university campus around the Ponton Theatre and Creative Hub precinct, but due to the coronavirus pandemic restricting visitors to CSU, students have had to get creative in how they present this year's festival to the wider community.
And it's been a challenge for many of the students, considering they've studied theatre.
They've now had to embrace a new way to present their shows to the wider public: filming their major works and broadcasting them online.
"It was pretty difficult to turn to film for all our major works. That was a really big challenge," third year student and Sprung Festival marketing and design Roan Van Heekeren said.
"Sprung is normally broadcast as a live festival that you go and see, so it's a lot more difficult to try and transfer that over."
Fellow third year student and Sprung Festival coordinator Kiara Bennett said students had to quickly learn the basics of filming and editing to make sure their major works would be shown to the wider public.
"It was never not going to happen, it was just figuring out ways to do it," she said.
"It was a matter of how. We really strived to make sure we continued pushing the content, to make sure people could see it."
