Member for Bathurst Paul Toole visited the cafe recently to see how construction is coming on its new deck, which is being funded by $50,000 from the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund to further develop and enhance its operation.
"The deck is set to enhance the community hub the Generocity Church has established in the Bathurst Trade Centre by giving community groups and cafe patrons an opportunity for a place for collaboration and networking within the trade centre," he said.
"Café on Corporation partners with local disability services, people living with disabilities, their carers and the local community for what it believes is a unique opportunity to deliver quality coffee and delicious food options to the workers and patrons of nearby businesses.
"It is hoped that the new deck will make the café even busier, and provide opportunities to even more people living with a disability."
Caleb Dwyer from Generocity Church said those at the cafe are excited about the development.
"There is an expectation that this new space will help us increase capacity and trade for the cafe so we can continue to deliver our project's vision of providing employment, work placement and training to young adults within the disability sector in our community," he said.
