As much as our politicians are leaping with glee now that the Chifley Dam is at 100 per cent, the truth is that the writing was on the wall for a decade indicating future water shortages were a high likelihood.
It doesn't help when a number of Bathurst's councilors were (are) climate change deniers.
Look ahead, plan ahead and stop reading your tea leaves.
