If it arrives, the snow will come amid a cold weekend for the Central Tablelands, with Bathurst set to struggle to a maximum of only nine degrees on Saturday - seven degrees below the long-term average for September of 16.4 degrees.
The city is set to get to 13 degrees on Sunday before warmer temperatures return from Monday.
The Central Tablelands' last snow was only a month ago, when a big fall at Oberon led to an influx of visitors from Sydney and reports of poor behaviour from some.
