Three people are in hospital following an accident involving three cars on the Castlereagh Highway at Cullen Bullen on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Carson's Siding Road at around 2:30pm.
It is believed that eight people were travelling between the three cars.
Among the injured was a 53-year-old woman who is believed to have been the driver of one of the vehicles who was trapped before being released by emergency services. She suffered chest, pelvic and leg injuries and was airlifted by the Toll Rescue 207 Helicopter to Westmead Hospital.

Authorities described her condition as "serious but stable" at the time the helicopter left the scene.
One of the vehicles involved was towing a camper trailer, while another was pulling a box trailer.
Agencies who attended the accident scene included Lithgow Ambulance Paramedics, Lithgow Volunteer Rescue Squad, Lithgow Police, NSW Fire and Rescue, Portland.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, however the Castlereagh Highway is expected to remain closed for some time as Accident Investigation Police conduct their enquiries.
EARLIER: THE Castlereagh Highway is closed in both directions between Marrangaroo and Ilford following a three-vehicle crash at Cullen Bullen this afternoon.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
According to RMS Live Traffic, the crash occurred about 2.30pm and emergency services remain on the scene.
Motorists in light vehicles can use Ilford Sofala Road, Sofala Road, Gilmour Street and the Great Western Highway to travel via Sofala and Kelso instead.
This detour is not suitable for B-doubles, which are being parked.
