It was a decade which began with Copeland's test cricket debut during Australia's tour of Sri Lanka in 2011, a reward for his excellent efforts with the New South Wales side over the previous season.

And while Copeland never rejoined the international fray at test level he would go on to use that experience for both the NSW Blues and as fearsome spearhead for his beloved St George club side.

Copeland sits just two shy of the 200 wickets mark in Sydney Grade Cricket, boasting an enviable bowling average of 15.63.

No-one in the competition who has played at least 50 matches has managed to better that average.

Among his 113 matches for St George he's claimed a 10-wicket match effort, seven five-wicket innings hauls and best bowling figures of 8-58.

While Copeland was selected for his bowling prowess his batting figures are also worth a mention.

He's picked up 2,113 runs at a more-than-respectable average of 30.62, claiming two centuries along the way. He boasts a highest score of 122.

The earlier years of the decade, when Copeland was among one of Australia's elite bowlers, are unsurprisingly full of imposing statistics.

In St George's premiership-winning season of 2012-13 he snared 32 wickets at an average of only 13.1.

That also came with one of his major grade cricket highlights - a match winning 7-43 in the second innings of the grand final against Sutherland to salvage what had looked like a losing position.

He backed that up the next season with 23 scalps at 14.1.

Copeland took to Twitter recently to share his delight at being named in the team.

"Extremely proud of this," he wrote

"Bloody love my St George Cricket Club and owe a lot to this club for the person [and] cricketer I am today.

"Now, to fight Josh Lalor and Nick Bills for the new rock!"

Lalor and Bills, along with Copeland, were the last members of the 12-man squad announced online.

Those two bowlers also boast excellent stats from across the 2010s.

Penrith Cricket Club's lefty Lalor isn't far behind Copeland with his average of 18.16, with a grand total of 251 wickets. He also boasts 10 five wicket hauls.

Journeyman Bills, who played for North Sydney, Manly-Warringah, Mosman and Sydney over the decade finished with 409 wickets - more than anyone else in the 2010s.
