The VERTO Scavenger Hunt is providing Bathurst residents and visitors the opportunity to complete more than 30 tasks focusing on iconic landmarks within the Bathurst region, with a host of prizes up for grabs for those with the most points.
With just under two weeks to go until the event ends [October 18] VERTO chief executive officer Ron Maxwell said there has been substantial interest in the scavenger hunt.
"We have seen over 800 participants sign up to the Scavify app and more than 3300 activities completed, which is no surprise because it's a fun school holidays activity with 30 fantastic prizes up for grabs," Mr Maxwell said.
"The hunt encourages local families and race fans alike to celebrate the holidays, support local businesses and learn more about this great region."
Mayor Bobby Bourke said the popularity of the activity has resulted in the addition of new activities for participants keen to double their score.
"The hunt is encouraging people to explore get out and about and explore museums, parks, gardens, villages and historic buildings," Cr Bourke said.
