The area proposed on Wahluu has been clearly identified as a culturally significant area for the Wiradyuri people and is currently a public park to be enjoyed by residents and visitors.

To construct a track on the proposed area would desecrate this important cultural and heritage area that should be preserved for current and future generations.

It would also destroy large areas of habitat for endangered species that, once gone, will be irreplaceable.

Alternative sites have been identified that offer better operational, financial, environmental and security outcomes.

These sites would be open to all our youth - in particular, indigenous families who may be reluctant to participate at a desecrated Wahluu site.
