Macauley Jones and Tim Blanchard were the best placed car with 13th at the finish, while Nick Percat and Thomas Randle finished in 18th, 28 laps down.
Both Jack Smith and Jack Perkins in the #4 SCT Commodore and Todd Hazelwood and Jordan Boys in the #14 Cub Cadets Commodore didn't finish.
The entire weekend for the Holden squad were hit by bizarre moments that really hurt the team's chances.
Throughout practice, both the #3 and #4 cars had their front doors open on track repeatedly and while the team attempted to fix the issue, it happened again in the opening stint of the race for Macauley Jones.
A mechanical black flag was issued but the drama didn't stop there for the Jones/Blanchard car.
They were given a 15 second time penalty for not serving that black flag immediately, then had contact with teammate Jack Smith on lap 97 putting Smith in the sand, and then had to serve a drive through penalty for that contact.
Smith, who was the leading Brad Jones Racing car throughout the day, would eventually retire after a rear right failure at The Chase, again ending in the sand with just eight laps to go.
First to retire and take no further part was Jordan Boys on lap 51 who lost control and hit the wall at the final corner.
Nick Percat's weekend started out promising and qualified fourth on the grid during the Shootout on Saturday.
He was then disqualified from the Shootout after his car was found to be underweight by two kilograms and he started in tenth.
After 68 laps, Thomas Randle pulled into the garage with a power steering issue and fully never recovered.
Macauley Jones said that the weekend has been one of the biggest struggles in a long time.
"As a whole team it was definitely one of the toughest ones we have had for a long time, or at least from what I can remember," he said.
"It's definitely not good to see the other cars in what happened to them but I felt pretty strong in the car, we had some dramas early in the race and had to come back from that."
