HSC students from across the state sat their second English exam on Wednesday morning, with many feeling more confident now the examinations are underway.

Students at St Stanislaus' College said they felt happy with the exam, thanks to the preparation work they had done in the lead up.
Nick Keogh, who sat the advanced English paper said it was fair.
"I felt I was was a lot more prepared for it then the trials.
"I went in with a lot more preparation," he said.

Nick who did his HSC Religion exam last year, now has three HSC exams under his belt, which is making the process a little easier.
His next exam is two unit maths, which he's feeling confident about, given he plans to study to be a maths teacher at university next year.
Jack Lynch, who also sat the advanced English paper, said he found it "quite forgiving."
"In one question we were all expecting two parts to it, but it only had one part, so I thought it wasn't that demanding," he said.
His next exams are maths and legal studies, which he is feeling okay about.
Next year he plans to study International Relations at university in Sydney.
Kennedy Brown, who sat the standard English paper also felt it was a good exam.
"There was a lot of evaluating, and a wide variety of questions.
"But I felt I had prepared really well compared to the trials, so I felt pretty confident."
While pleased the exam process is now underway, Kennedy said he expects he will still feel nervous come the next exam. Next year Kennedy will join the ADF as an aircraft technician.
