A SPATE of break and enters across the Bathurst region over the past 48 hours has prompted a new reminder from police for residents to lock up safely.
The warning comes after the latest Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR) figures showed break and enters into home across the Bathurst region had jumped by more than 50 per cent in the 12 months to June 2020.
A police spokesperson said residents should ensure they lock all doors and windows around their home, and particularly at night time and when they are out.
