Due to the demise of the Western women's side at the start of 2020, many of the club's top players have joined Bathurst District Football sides, with Murphy opting for the navy of Abercrombie, while Colman has been picked up by the red and black of Panorama.
The two played 38 games for Western last year between them, but come grand final day, friendships will be temporarily put aside as their clubs do battle for glory.

Abercrombie have defeated Panorama on all three occasions throughout the 2020 season, but that hasn't given Murphy and her teammates a reason to be super confident.
"Panorama has been a tough competitor, there hasn't been any outright winner," she said.
"I think CSU, Ego, Pano, we've had really tight games with those teams.
"We have confidence that we can win, but anything can happen on the day.
"We just need to work on that final third, especially if we're facing Sarah Colman in the centre back. Our finishing in our final third is what's killing us at the moment. We'll make sure we're focusing on that to finish the game well."
Murphy said she's been impressed with how well the Abercrombie team has gelled, especially considering the team wasn't playing in the women's premier league last season.
"We've all gelled really quickly, it probably only took like one or two games," she said.
"We've been improving each week and it's awesome to have Abercrombie minor premiers and the club has done that in a couple of other grades too. Abercrombie as a whole has been killing it this year."
Panorama coach Brent Huie previously praised Colman for her effort to contain CSU star Jasmin Christie-Johnston in the preliminary final on Sunday.
Colman knows her backline will have to be on their game again if they want to win the grand final.
"We're going to have to defend our hearts out because obviously Abercrombie have attacking weapons all over the field," she said.
"We'll have to do our best to shut them down and take the chances we get."
Colman believes her team has hit its strides at the right time.
"We've gelled really, really well. Obviously beating Ego quite convincingly and having a really good game against CSU lines us up pretty well against Abercrombie," she said.
"We haven't won against them this, but anything can happen in a grand final."
Abercrombie qualified for the grand final two Sundays ago after a 2-1 win over reigning champions CSU, with Jess Daymond scoring the winning goal with one minute left in normal time.
Panorama are playing in their fourth consecutive grand final, having lost decider last year on penalties, after going through the regular season undefeated.
After finishing third, Panorama knocked off Eglinton in the minor semi-final 3-0 before coming from behind to defeat CSU 3-1.
Sunday's match will get underway from Proctor Park 1 at 3pm.
