A WICKET with her first ball, another before the over was done and a win - it's little wonder the Sydney Sixers labelled Lisa Griffith's debut in magenta 'a dream start'.

After three seasons playing in the Women's Big Bash League Twenty20 competition for Sydney Thunder, the talented Bathurst all-rounder opted to make the switch to the Sydney Sixers.
It was a move made to help progress her development as she forms part of a squad packed with international stars and emerging junior talents.
"We've got some old hands and I guess some young blood coming through there and there's this really nice mix of both. I'm this interesting in-between player who still has a lot to learn, but I'm quite old," the 28-year-old said.
"The time I've spent with the group has been really refreshing and I'm really enjoying it."
After Sunday's Sydney Smash between the Sixers and Thunder was washed-out, Monday's round two match against last season's runners-up the Adelaide Strikers was again impacted by rain.
But the Sixers still did enough to win by nine wickets, reaching their revised target of 46 with two balls to spare at North Sydney Oval.
The Strikers batted first and made 7-68 off nine overs, with the Bathurst product taking two of those scalps.
In her 30th WBBL career match, Griffith was the fourth Sixers bowler to be used when skipper Ellyse Perry threw her the ball in the fifth over.
With her first delivery, Griffith had her first wicket for the Sixers. Madeline Penna attempted to drive a ball which has some late movement off the seam but instead nicked it to wicket-keeper Alyssa Healy.
While Griffith's next ball was a wide delivery, the one which followed resulted in another wicket. This time it was a yorker which hit the pads of Amanda-Jade Wellington, sending her on her way for a duck and reducing the Strikers to 4-14.
Griffith only got that one over but finished with her career best WBBL figures of 2-10. It bettered her 2-17 from WBBL04 against Perth.
In reply the Sixers reached 1-47 in 5.4 overs to win via the Duckworth Lewis system.
The Sixers' next match is on Saturday against Melbourne Stars at Sydney Showground Stadium.
