But what was really impressive was the time.
Scott Hewitt's mare, driven to perfection by Gemma Hewitt, stopped the clock at a 1:52.2 mile rate in the TAB Odds and Evens Pace (1,730 metres) to become the new queen of the time sheets at the Bathurst track.
The field stretched out early under a fast tempo, with a rare sub-27 opening quarter (26.7) unfolding due to the battle for the front.
Arma Naughty ($3.40 favourite) saw towards the tail of the field biding her time before making a strike.
She gunned down Maximus Red ($23, Steve Turnbull) and Benalong Valley ($4.80, Cameron Hart) for victory.
The remaining quarters were a consistent 28.8, 28.2 and 28.8.
"That was by far her career best performance. Things did go her way. A couple went hard early but the way she was able to go wide at the end and still win it in the way she did probably shows how good she's going at the moment," Scott Hewitt said.
"It was a really patient drive from Gemma and the horse was good enough to finish it off. It was a good job all round."
Wednesday's success made it two wins in a row at Bathurst for the Somebeachsomewhere x Arma The One mare.
It's been a great bounce back for the mare after a mixed campaign in Queensland, where she won one of nine starts.
"I probably should have given her a let up to keep her fresh for the trip but the way things were with COVID before we left we were a little unsure of what we were going to do," Hewitt said.
"We gave her the freshen up before she came back home and ever since then she's really enjoyed her racing and has now won three on the bounce."
