FIREFIGHTERS, police and paramedics were called to a small factory fire at Simplot's Kelso plant late Thursday evening.

Five units from NSW Fire and Rescue, one ambulance crew and police all attended the incident at Bradford Street at around 7.15pm.
It is understood the fire began after a foodstuff was burnt.
Captain Scott Wilson from Kelso Fire Brigade said the fire was extinguished before fire crews arrived.
He said in addition to checking the blaze was extinguished his crew also checked for any fire extensions.

"We were actually doing drills at Morse Park so we got there really quickly," he said.
He commended the staff for their quick action in self evacuating.
"They were wonderful," he said.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance services said when paramedics arrived all staff had self evacuated, and no persons were injured or treated at the scene.
