A CHILD was taken to Bathurst Base Hospital on Friday night after suffering a near drowning at a home.

Only limited information on the incident was available but emergency services including police and paramedics were called to the Kelso home around 6.15pm.
They attended after a Triple-0 call was made for help, reporting a near drowning at the property.
Initial reports made to emergency services was the child was unconscious.

However, when paramedics arrived at the scene the child, aged around four, was conscious and breathing.
The child was assessed and treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to Bathurst Base Hospital for further treatment.
