The Garage Sale Trail was a successful endeavour for Bathurst residents over the weekend, who were able to give some of their old possessions a new life.

With the COVID-19 pandemic still a concern, Bathurst Regional Council was unable to host the community garage sale at Mount Panorama this year.
To make up for it, council joined the Garage Sale Trail and encouraged other residents to register.
The Bathurst Lions Club was one community group that signed up for the event.
Past president Dominic Chircop said club members donated items for their garage sale and they also received a generous donation from Kelso Public School.
The donation comprised of furniture the school no longer needed, and its old children's chairs were a big seller for the Lions Club.
Mr Chircop said Saturday was the busiest day, with an estimated 300 people visiting the shed in Short Street.
"We sold quite a lot [on Saturday]; we sold cabinets and furniture and bric-a-brac, even the barbecue didn't do too bad," he said.
Money raised from the garage sale will go back into the Bathurst community.
"All the money goes to charity, the whole lot of it," Mr Chircop said.
"It's all for the Lions Club; we use the money to put back into Bathurst, that's what will happen with it."

Another participant in the Garage Sale Trail was Melanie de Boehmler, who joined the event "to clear out a lot of excess goodies".
As she recently closed her store in the Blue Mountains, she had quite a bit of excess stock to sell.
Initially, she planned on having her garage sale on both Saturday and Sunday, but due to personal circumstances had to cancel on Saturday.
She said the online platform made it easy to change her plans.
Visitors to her garage sale took a lot of interest in the collection of CDs and DVDs she had.
Ms de Boehlmer said she would happily participate in the Garage Sale Trail again.
"I'd make sure to be better organised and to have it all on online the way it is has been good," she said.
As a national event, the Garage Sale Trail attracted more than 11,500 individual garage sales, with more than 2.5 million items on offer.
More than 50 garage sales were registered in the Bathurst region over the course of the weekend.
