The duo retired together on Monday, having spent 30 years running the business together.
Mr Taylor, however, has worked at Bathurst Glass, a family business, since 1967.

He began his apprenticeship at JC Goodwin and Co in Chippendale in 1962, and during the first five years got to work on a number of notable buildings, including the Sydney Opera House and the State Office Block.
"After five years I finally came back to Bathurst in 1967 and have been with Dad ever since," he said.
"Dad and Stumpy (brother Robert Taylor) were there and I joined them, and been here ever since."
Mr Taylor has been with the business since it was in George Street, then moved with it when it went to Seymour Street, Vale Road and finally Corporation Avenue, where it has been since 2000.
"We've done a lot of work around town. We've done the Cathedral bell tower, the art gallery and library, the visitor centre, both shopping centres, just worked with all the schools and a lot of shop fronts around town," he said.
"We've done a lot of broken windows over the years."

Mr and Mrs Taylor have been married for 48 years and share two children, daughters Kelly and Kylie.
They have worked at Bathurst Glass together for the past 30 years and have no regrets about working and living together.
"We had our moments, but we never took it home. Once we shut the shop at 5pm, that was it until the next morning," Mr Taylor said.
A great team of staff over the years has made the experience even more enjoyable.
"We've had good staff. Without them, we wouldn't be here," Mrs Taylor said.
Mr and Mrs Taylor put the business on the market a little while ago, deciding they wanted to retire to spend more time with family.
They hope to travel once restrictions are relaxed.
The business will be taken over by Wideline Windows and Doors.
