In The Light Of The Sun And Shadow Of The Moon charts the work of Jurgis Miksevicius, a Lithuanian-born migrant who spent nine months painting murals in the Bathurst Migrant Camp in 1948 before going on to pursue a successful career as an artist.
The camp director, William Rees, employed Miksevicius to decorate the walls of the former army barracks' recreation hall with caricatures of great Australian sportsmen, including swimmer John Marshall and tennis champion John Bromwich.
Miksevicius was also provided with a studio space and encouraged to paint.
The exhibition covers Miksevicius' studies at art school in Germany and his later landscapes and philosophical moon paintings as examples of the many genres he explored throughout his creative life.
It's All About Me! is described as a playful exploration of self which surveys three decades of the work of Blue Mountains-based artist Adrienne Doig.
Hold Me, Cover Me, meanwhile, presents the work of Cowra-based artist Linda Chant.
It is described as featuring delicate sculptures that offer moments of curiosity and wonder.
The three exhibitions will open at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery on Saturday, December 12 and will run until Sunday, February 7, 2021.
