AS they say, a win is a win but for Cavaliers they know this could have been so much more than that.

The competition leaders were denied a golden chance to take what was almost certainly going to be an outright victory against Kinross in their Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket clash on Saturday.
The match was the only fixture of the round not to get a single over of play in due to the rain, with Kinross still on 1-30 needing 59 runs just to make Cavaliers bat again.
Kinross may have been a small chance to hold out long enough to restrict Cavaliers to just first innings points but, especially in damp conditions, it would have had to be something spectacular.
Cavaliers will next face Rugby Union at Wade Park while Kinross will play host to Bathurst City.
CENTENNIALS BULLS (185) defeated BATHURST CITY (184 and 0-11)
TYLER Horton has made bigger scores than 49 in his first grade career but that total on Saturday might have been one of his most memorable knocks.
The Centennials Bulls player strolled to the crease with his side 6-86 in pursuit of Bathurst City's 184 during the Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket clash at Morse Park 1.
It's not exactly the friendliest scenario for a number eight batsman to be wandering into, especially with his team desperately chasing their first win of the season.
But Horton thrived under the pressure, and was supported well by Mick Hutchinson (39) and captain Kurt Toole (20), adding 61 vital runs across those two partnerships.
Redbacks were still in prime position to win the contest at Morse Park after the dismissals of Hutchinson and Toole, which took the score to 8-147, but Horton pressed on with the job.
In a winning result for Redbacks the talk would have been focused on Jarrod Urza's haul of 4-45, an impressive effort on a day where City had just three bowlers on a regular rotation.
CITY COLTS (235) defeated CYMS (102 and 5-197)
CITY Colts had already secured first innings points in their Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket clash against CYMS the previous Saturday, but the Orange men put up a much better fight in their limited time on the pitch during day two.
Colts marched past CYMS' first innings total of 102 to build up a 133-run lead before the visitors were sent back in to bat again at Loco Oval on Saturday to try and avoid an outright defeat.
There were concerns from CYMS when Tom Satterthwaite was dismissed by Tom Murray for a duck in the first over but their fears were quickly allayed when Tom Belmonte (49) and Dave Neil (20) hung around at the crease for a while.
CYMS would end their day at 5-197 before rain would bring play to an early end.
Captain Hugh Le Lievre (43 not out) and Adam Smith (32 not out) were on a 65 run partnership when play came to a close.
Murray (2-26) and the previous weekend's standout bowler Angus Daymond (2-37) did most of the damage while captain Dan Casey, coming off a century, picked up the other wicket.
RUGBY UNION (227) drew CENTRALS (7-176)
FLETCHER Rose tried his hardest to get a result out of Saturday's game for Centrals against Rugby Union but it wasn't to be.
Just as he'd done in the corresponding 2019-20 game, Rose went to town against the Rugby attack as he hit a measured 78 runs to put his side within reach of a win after they resumed the day 1-30 in pursuit of 227.
But Rugby were also coming close to a win of their own before rain stopped an evenly contested game with the Centrals score at 7-176.
Rose has now hit three half centuries across his 2020-21 season to date.
Kurt Gander didn't last long at the crease on Saturday as he departed for 36 but Cam Rasmussen (30) was able to hang around for some time with Rose to keep the victory viable.
Jeremy Thackray was the best of the Rugby bowlers with 3-29 while fellow opening bowler Jonah Ruzgas toiled away for 2-68 off 25 overs. Hugh McIntyre (2-51) also picked up two wickets.
ORANGE CITY (9-253 dec.) drew ST PAT'S OLD BOYS (3-45)
ST PAT'S Old Boys only got 10 overs into their chase of Orange City 9-253 before rain told both teams to head back home.
And the team who might be happier about that result is St Pat's, given how their innings began.
In the space of 10 overs Pat's worked their way to 45 runs but lost three wickets in the process.
Bailey Brien (13), Andrew Brown (2) and Ben Cant (10) all got dismissed during a brilliant short spell of bowling from Andrew Rutledge (3-9 from five overs).
Coonor Slattery (12 not out) and Cooper Brien (1 not out) were stuck out in the middle when the rain definitively ended the day.
It's a disappointing result given the match pitted together second and third on the ladder, promising a quality game, but neither side will lose sleep over the draw given their respective strong starts to the season.
Pat's will play City Colts next round while City plays Centennials Bulls.
