The company first revealed in August last year that the opening of a Bathurst franchise was high on the agenda, and franchisee Imran Muhammad said the store has been in active development since June.

"We're looking forward to opening on the verge of Christmas, and are expecting a busy few weeks ahead," Imran said.
"Our official opening is Thursday, but on Saturday, we'll be giving away 500 free dessert cups from 11am to 1pm to drum up some local interest."
Imran has been involved with The Cheesecake Shop since 2013, having previously run stores in Adelaide and Darwin.
He said the store has a wide variety of cakes for people to try out.
"We have everything from cheesecakes and mud cakes to sponge and cupcake variants," he said.
"Everything is baked fresh in store [apart from gluten free variants], and there's a range of customisation options available to suit everyone's needs."
The franchise is the first store to open at 2/35 William Street since Little Caesars Pizza closed in September last year after nine months.
Imran said the franchise prides itself on a punctual approach to meeting customer orders.
"Most cake shops require orders well in advance, which is a point of difference for us on the back of a swift customisation process," he said.
"We're happy to be in Bathurst, and look forward to serving the community."
