Expressions of interest for interested musicians from the Central West and Far West will close on Friday and Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC) manager Stephen Champion, said they are looking forward to seeing some amazing local acts.
"We are looking for a diverse range of acts to support our headliners for the 2021 Inland Sea of Sound and are really looking forward to providing the opportunity for some up and coming regional artists," he said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"We are looking at making a decision by Monday as we have limited spots available this year and need to get further planning underway."
Stephen said it was great to be able to provide opportunities for musicians from across the region to play again.
"Obviously COVID-19 has restricted the ability for many artists to perform and this way they not only get to play for an enthusiastic audience, but they also get to play along side bigger and more established artists."
The music festival will be held at various venues across Bathurst instead of at it's traditional home on top of Wahluu-Mount Panorama due to a clash with the Bathurst 500.
The venues will be a mix of indoor and outdoor locations including at BMEC itself. The outdoor venues include the carpark located behind the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum and the former tennis court next door to the Bathurst Rail Museum, both of which will be retrofitted with stages, seating, outdoor bars and catering.
The 2021 instalment of Inland Sea of Sound will run from Wednesday, February 24 to Sunday, February 28, with headline acts due to be announced mid-December.
