A father and son will combine on Friday night at Dubbo Paceway to honour their father and grandfather in the Peter Lew Memorial (2,120 metres).

Nine starters will line up behind the mobile in the third race of the meeting, with Greg Lew driving the John Lew-trained Jogalong Blue from the favourable barrier one position.
It'll be a special occasion for the race's namesake's son John, saying a race honouring his father is 'everything'.
"Dad did a lot of work with the new track here at Dubbo. The Dubbo club, it was his club. So to have a race named after him is a real honour," John said.
"But it's also not an honour that he would have wanted if he was alive. He was a very humble man, especially for a cop."
The Lew family are heavily involved in the harness racing industry, with both of Peter's sons, as well as some of his nephews and grandsons having licences.
John explained that it was Greg that decided to have Jogalong Blue contesting the $12,240 memorial race on Friday night.
"Greg could have had Jogalong Blue in any other race on the night, but he wanted it in Peter's race," he said.
The horse will run as an outsider, but John believes Greg would give 'it a real good shot'.
The memorial gets underway 7.33pm in the biggest meeting of the year for the Dubbo Harness Racing Club, with the Group 3 Red Ochre Fillies and Mares Classic attracting a prize pool of $30,600.
There'll be 11 pacers contesting the classic, which will get underway at 8.03pm.
The first race will start at 6.25pm.
