The directors of the St Paul's Carcoar Association have until March 16, 2021 to raise $450,000 to buy their town's church.
A new multi-signature bank account and a PayPal account have been created and membership forms for the association are at the Carcoar Post Office.
A $20 membership allows you to be informed step-by-step of the fundraising progress and voting rights in the association.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
The directors Ron Murray, George King, Gail Blowes, Mckenzie Graham and Dawn Williams have resolved to share in all the costs of the association so every dollar raised goes to funding the purchase.
Any donation of over $500 is fully refundable should the association fail in raising the full amount.
Director George King said that engraved bricks and brass plaques were all part of the fundraising project.
"Part of the fundraising will be to sell engraved bricks which we will set into a new paved area outside St Paul's entrance," he said.
"A donation of $1,000 gives the donor an engraved paving brick with their family name or business name. A $5,000 donation will get you a large paving brick 400x400.
"We could put a retaining wall near the boundary of the western side where the hearse parks and pave that area with the memorial bricks."
Larger donations of as much as $10,000 will get a brass plaque inside the entrance to St Paul's.
